Yeah.. that’s me working on top of the Sears Tower :)

Hello,

I'm a Chicago based creator who bends space and time. My work encapsulates the city of Chicago from my perspective (plus a bunch of other perspectives) with a creative approach that includes 360 videos, time-lapse, electrifying photos (literally photos of lightning sometimes), and an abundance of color, trippy angles, and moving visual art.

Recent Work

“There’s an episode of 30 Rock where we get to see through Kenneth’s eyes and discover that everything is just a little bit more magical from his POV. I’m pretty sure the concept was inspired by Craig Shimala. Craig sees magic in the ordinary and never misses an opportunity to share his more colorful, playful perspective wherever he can.

Craig’s ability to appreciate the world around him is matched only by his technical skills in photography and video. His Christmas-morning-like excitement around new technology and new ways to capture visual art is awe-inspiring. Craig immediately takes deep dives into new gadgets or social platforms to discover what unique things he can create. His work on @timelapsechicago makes even the most disenchanted Chicagoan think, “Oh man, this place is pretty freakin’ great!”
